Barbie Fantasy Tales
Fantasy Tales, alternatively marketed as Fairy Tale Collection in some regions, is a playline series of the early cinematic princess Barbies, as well as Kelly dolls and prince Ken dolls which released in 2004.
A related European-exclusive line, Princess Collection, was later released in 2005, with the Tea Party dolls from Fantasy Tales also being marketed under the Princess Collection branding.
First Line
The initial Fantasy Tales line features dolls of the first three Barbie cinematic princesses (Clara, from Barbie in The Nutcracker, Rapunzel from Barbie as Rapunzel, and Odette from Barbie of Swan Lake) in refreshed looks, as well as re-releases of some of the Nutcracker and Rapunzel Kelly dolls. These were accompanied by a Prince Ken who’s sash could be swapped out to match his respective princess.
Vanity Giftsets
Another line of Fantasy Tales dolls, which came with vanity playsets. These featured the princesses with near-replicas of their original dolls’ outfits, without the original dolls’ gimmicks and on belly button bodies.
Tea Party
A third line of Fantasy Tales dolls was also released, which was Tea Party themed. This line also featured Erika and Anneliese from Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper, as well as some princess Kelly dolls and Prince Ken.
