Good Smile Company
Good Smile Company is a Japanese company based in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and established in 2001.
The company released their first figure in 2004, followed by the introduction of their Nendoroid series in 2006, which would feature characters from licensed properties such as Barbie, Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and numerous anime and manga properties. This series would see several spin-offs such as Nendoroid Petite (a line of smaller figures) and Nendoroid More (display stands and clips designed to fit the figures). They also began distributing Max Factory’s Figma action figures from 2008.
Other investments by the company include sponsoring and later establishing their own racing team, collaborating on animation projects with Ultra Super Pictures, and (controversially) investing in 4chan.
