My Little Pony Generation 3 is the third generation of the popular toy line My Little Pony, originally launched in 1982 by toy company ”second, which would run until 1999 in the United States, and would continue all the way up until 2003 in European countries.
The third “generation” of the franchise was released in 2003, with a new range of toys, as well as an accompanying movie “A Charming Birthday,” which would come packaged with many first year ponies. It would take the criticisms of it’s second generation, where the ponies were slimmer with elongated legs, as well as having no accompanying TV series or movies, and reflect on that for it’s new generation of toys. The Ponies would receive another makeover, their forms much more similar to that of their first generation counterparts, and would start a long series of direct-to-video TV shorts and feature length movies.
