The 18 inch dolls were one of the two scales of dolls launched as part of BFC Ink, alongside the 10 inch dolls.
The dolls featured inset eyes and initially featured eight points of articulation, with static elbows and wrists but joints at the knee, hip, shoulder, neck and torso. The third wave in 2010 would add elbow, wrist and ankle joints to the doll, bringing the number of points up to fourteen. The dolls were boxed in a seated position for the first two waves and for select releases from the third wave, while after that the dolls would be packaged in a standing position.
There were a total of twenty-four 18 inch dolls released across five waves from 2009 to 2011, representing twelve different characters.
