I finally found the purple-haired Odile mermaid in person at Walmart! I was waiting to see her in person before picking her up as I do with most of my dolls, and when I finally saw her at Walmart yesterday after months of passively searching for her, I knew I had to grab her! Of course, like most people, I also wanted to rebody her. (It’s those stiff arms, man.) So after I bought her, I decided to stop by the thrift store to see if I could find any articulated Barbies that would match her skin tone. I ended up finding this girl, pictured below, who happens to be a pretty good match! She’s perhaps the slightest bit darker, but it’s not terribly noticeable so I’m happy. She has my favorite type of articulation for Barbies; she gets a good range of motion without any unsightly joints like the MTM girls have. Only downside to this particular base is the flat feet.
Anyways, working with the flat feet, I ended up having to put my girl in these sneakers from an Alex Russo (Wizards of Waverly Place) doll. To match that, I went with this plaid skirt which came from a LIV Doll fashion pack. Pair that with a belt and top from some early 2010s Barbie fashion packs, and that’s the look! I might end up switching at around at some point, but I like it for now. Let me know your thoughts if you’d like! Have you found her in stores yet?

It was that way forever for me… literally thought I’d never see her irl until she was suddenly there one day. So just keep an eye out; hopefully she’ll show up soon!
