Birthday Self-Gift 2021: BFMC Wardrobe Case

The Barbie Fashion Model Collection Wardrobe Case was something I admired when it first came out. At the time it was well outside my budget. I didn’t expect to ever own one, because that would be too much to spend on a single item for dolls. (LOL…)

In 2021, I decided for the first time to splurge on something for my birthday, that would be out of my buy-self price range normally.

The hangers are from FurnitureForDolls on Etsy. I chose these specifically for this case because the gold tone goes with the drawer knobs.

This was just playing around with how some clothes and other things might look in the closet; not curated for any particular character. With all the pastels, it could be for my mini-me. 🙂

The cubby with mirror at the back reminds me of my freshman year dorm closet. Yes I carefully positioned some fabric to keep myself and 1:1 room things out of the reflection!

Now, who to put in the other side? I may at some point make removable rods to turn the two doll compartments into more hanging closet space. But for now, let’s see who fits.

An Integrity Toys Nu.Face figure will fit just fine. An IT Homme is too tall, but with slightly bent knees will fit. Not the most comfortable way to travel, but it would work.

My MMO mains are short (Curvy MTM and Volks New-EB), so they’ll fit easily. Here they are strapped in and ready to travel, and the drawers tied down. What can we do to make it more comfortable?

Pillows, that’s better! If I were to use this case for travel, I might wrap the dolls in blankets for “comfort”. I don’t think I’d likely use this to travel though, it’s more for use as a closet.
