Elizabeth Cole, 1775

Elizabeth Cole is the daughter of an English loyalist during the American Revolution. She is one of the Historical Characters, and was the second Best Friend doll released. Introduced by American Girl in 2005.

She represents the American Revolution, and the years preceding it. Specifically the English side of the conflict.

Elizabeth and her family immigrated to Williamsburg from England shortly before she meets Felicity. She is small and shy, leading to her older sister bullying her often and calling her “Bitsy” which she doesn’t like. Unlike Felicity, ELizabeth is more even tempered and patient, which evens her out. She likes sewing, horses, and fancy balls and dancing.

She and her collection were retired in 2011, and is unlikely to return.
