Minstrels sing love ballads called madrigals while jesters juggle and play the fool. This wondrous fiefdom of the fifteenth century is home to a beautiful young woman. Her hair shimmers as gold, and her azure eyes sparkle as the Mediterranean Sea. Accomplished and learned, she is the lady of this castle, a damsel of untold beauty and renowned gifts. She awaits her knight in shining armor, lavishly groomed with golden rings and brooches. Guarded throughout the centuries, her legacy is precious — the riches of the kingdom and the glory of courtly love. Princess of the French Court Barbie Doll is inspired by the grandeur of the Age of Chivalry, a time of romance and valor. She wears a regal gown of deep, rich purple, the color of royalty. The split skirt is designed with an inset of purple and golden jacquard. Lavishly embellished with golden trim and a gleaming golden medallion, the dress is complemented by a golden ring and earrings. The final crowning touch is her golden tiara incorporating a fleur-de-lis (lily) design, the symbol of the royal family of France which proudly decorated their coat of arms.
