McKenna Brooks, 2012

McKenna was the tenth Girl of the Year, introduced by American Girl in 2012.

Mckenna is a ten year old living in Seattle who loves gymnastics. She dreams of one day becoming an Olympic gymnast, but injures her leg and has to sit out of practice for a bit, which makes her a bit upset. She also begins struggling in school and has to attend tutoring with Josie, a high schooler in a wheelchair. Mckenna is strong-willed, ambitious and determined.

McKenna also has a connection wiht the 2024 Girl of the Year Lila Monetti, becoming her gynmastics coach.

McKenna was the fastest selling Girl of the Year to date, sher dolls selling out in early December of 2012. She was archived in 2012, after her year was over, making way for Sage Copeland
