The Locket Surprise line was released in 1993 with three dolls: Barbie, Kayla, and Ken. The Barbie and Kayla dolls can hold any of the three items included with each box: a lip gloss, a photograph, and blush. The Ken doll was given a “Key to Barbie’s Heart” and a fragrance. Although both of the bodies for the Barbie and Kayla dolls resemble the 1993 Twist N’ Turn bodies, they are unique due to their torsos being a mechanical locket as the gimmick of the line.
