With the inception of the 1990s Generation Girl line by Barbie, many new face sculpts were debuted. Most notably was Barbie herself donning the brand new “Generation Girl” sculpt, named after the line she was made for. And she was given the nickname “CEO” internally at Mattel, which was added onto her colloquial name. This sculpt became the default for Barbie’s face throughout the late 90s, 2000s, and 2010s. It was used prolifically in playline releases, as well as many collector releases- and is still used to this day.
A way to help identify a doll with a CEO/Generation Girl sculpt is by the number of eyelashes they have, as you can similarly do with the ©1976 Superstar sculpt. Here is a helpful website to help with identification using this method!
