It is in the second act when the Prince, who is deeply grateful to Clara for saving him from the evil Mouse King, invites to her to his royal castle. There, the Prince escorts Clara into The Kingdom of Sweets where a magnificent ceremony is held in her honor. She and the Prince are delighted by the music and all of the exotic dances amidst a wonderland of candy canes, delicious cakes and sugar plums. At last Marzipan takes center stage, twirling and leaping gracefully to the music. Spellbound by her beauty and grace, Clara and the Prince applaud as the lovely Marzipan takes her final bow.
Barbie® doll as the dancing Marzipan wears a pink and mint green ballet costume adorned with tiny pink rosettes, one on each ruffled armlet and the other at the top of her beautifully beribboned bodice. She is surrounded by a skirt of delicate layers of mint green and glittering pink tulle. Poised to dance, she wears pink tights and ballet slippers with pretty lace-up ribbons. In her eyes there is a sweetness that seems to reflect the joy and excitement she must be feeling as she dances across the stage in one of the most famous Yuletide fantasies of all time.
Classic Ballet Series™ features classic ballets come to life with Barbie! Barbie as Marzipan has specially sculpted legs so you can more accurately emulate actual on toe ballet positions. Now you can play out the story of the Nutcracker with your doll, or proudly display her on her doll stand. She is the perfect choice for your Barbie doll collection.
