Back of the Box and Official Description:

Welcome to the Sixties where rock ‘n roll held way through one of the most tumultuous decades in America’s history.
Beginning with the election of President John F. Kennedy in 1960 and concluding with the first man on the moon in July of 1969, this was a decade of change for the American people.
Fashion quickly fell under the influence of popular British rock groups. Paisley prints and Nehru jackets were the rage. Women’s skirts got shorter and shorter and men’s hair longer and longer. Thin was in, plastic, fantastic and wild colors and patterns the only way to go.
Groovy 60s Barbie doll is a “mod” sensation in her mini dress with belted blue turquoise skirt, topped with a hot pink novelty plush jacket. Her white cap, fishnet stockings and white “go go” boots freely capture the essence of the colorful sixties style-wacky, wild and definitely different.
Groovy 60s Barbie is the sixth in a series of dolls highlighting women and the fashions they wore through the decade.

Sixth in the Great Fashions of the 20th Century series, Barbie® doll looks groovy in her mod 1960s ensemble. She wears a short coat with layers of hot pink novelty plush over a colorful mini dress. The drop-waist dress is made of a brightly printed top and a turquoise skirt, accented by a funky white hip-hugging belt. And she comes with all the necessary mod accessories — a white cap, white fishnet stockings and go-go boots, a small white handbag, and a pair of sunglasses!
