Fashions of the decade were frilly and fun. Initialed sweaters and poodle skirts with lots of crinolines were perfect for those after school dances. Girls often wore their hair in sky-high ponytails or flips adorned with a bow or scarf. For the guys, crew-cuts and flat tops were definitely in.
