Barbie Princess Bride (2000)
Her big day has arrived…She has become the Princess Bride!
Princess Bride Barbie dolls were released in 2000, along with a horse and carriage set.
The dolls feature a gimmick where if Barbie’s arm is raised, a musical chime plays. Dolls also come with a “magical” lenticular mirror with an image of Prince Ken, as well as a removable bodice, and a train which becomes a veil.
No Ken was released in the line, however promotional and box images pair Barbie with 1999 Rainbow Prince Ken.
A simplified version of the Princess Bride Barbie was also produced exclusively for sale through KB Toys in 2001.
This doll has no chime gimmick, no blue bodice, less jewellery, and a recolored pink crown and mirror.
No African-American version of this budget doll was released.

Recolored fashions and accessories were also used for the 2001 Dream Princess Barbie.
