Year after year, The Nutcracker remains a beloved tradition. The ballet tells the story of Clara and her magical nutcracker who defeats the Mouse King and is transformed back into a handsome prince. He takes Clara on a magical journey to the Land of the Sweets. There, they are met by the Sugar Plum Fairy; she presents them with fantastic entertainment. Sitting on a beautiful throne, the pair is treated to delicious dances by flowers and sweets. Clara and her Prince watch in rapt attention as peppermint candy canes perform a very special dance for them. At last, the enchanted couple leaves this wondrous land and the little girl returns home.
Barbie® doll as Peppermint Candy Cane wears a whimsical costume inspired by The Nutcracker ballet. Her fitted white taffeta bodice with green and pink stripes features pink tulle sleeves. Her layered pink tulle tutu skirt is embellished with with taffeta petals. A pink and green ribbon bow and shimmery, silvery “bell” decorate the ballet skirt. Light pink tights and matching toe shoes complement her perfect ballerina legs, specially sculpted in an “on-toe” position. Silvery stud earrings are delicate accessories. Finally, a decorative striped “candy cane” completes her theatrical ensemble.
