In 2007 Barbie released 3 dolls based on Mia, Roberta, and Lupita from Rebelde- a Mexican telenovela that lasted from 2004 to 2006.
In 2022, Netflix rebooted the soap opera, leading to Barbie producing a set of dolls based on the main characters along side individual releases for the female characters in 2024.
