Unreleased Kansas City Chiefs Variant

Below are images and the description of the Kansas City Chiefs version of this doll. She was available for preorder from January 27th to February 9th but was never produced as the dolls were made-to-order, and only the dolls representing the winning team would be made. Preorders for the doll were cancelled following the game, while the Philadelphia Eagles version would continue to be available for preorder until February 24th.

The base doll is the same, the only difference is in the outfits.

Quoted from Nuera’s Instagram:

“Yay sports! Congrats to the @philadelphiaeagles on winning the Super Bowl. 🦅

Since basically everything I know about American football is from The Waterboy, when I got this assignment I just wanted to design some cute Barbaras, such as using the cutie Generation Girl Tori & Teen Skipper ‘95 face sculpts! I imagined what a football fan might wear to the game; an oversized sweatshirt, athletic shorts and a bucket hat. When I started the project, of course I didn’t know who the Super Bowl finalists would be, so I designed knowing that logos & team colors could be interchangeable depending on who made it to the Super Bowl. And I like that the Eagles won, just because I like the deep green & silver color story lol.

This years Super Bowl logo was designed by @thequeentahj, a queen of the Golden Eagles Mardi Gras Indian tribe, representing Black Masking Indian & Mardi Gras culture & New Orleans! She created the logo with hand beadwork first. This is the first time in history the NFL collaborated with an artist to create the Super Bowl logo 🙌🏽
