Barbie Mini Kingdom

Barbie Mini Kingdom is a playline series of smaller scale 6 and a half inch dolls, that began in 2005, and lasted through to 2011. The line featured dolls of the main princesses from the animated Barbie film series, as well as a variety of playsets.
Dolls in the line have fully rooted hair and articulation at the hips and shoulders. The line originally featured full fabric fashions, but would then introduce a mix of fabric and plastic “Quick Snap” fashions in 2006. The dolls come with molded on high heeled shoes, or in the case of some later dolls, are barefoot.

Towards the end of Mini Kingdom’s run, princess dolls were phased out in favour of characters from modern era Barbie films such as Barbie in A Mermaid Tale and it’s sequel, as well as Barbie: A Fairy Secret, and Barbie: Princess Charm School. These dolls would not be marketed under Mini Kingdom branding, but instead were released under their respective film’s main line of dolls.
