Barbie Rapunzel (1998)

Once upon a time…a lovely young maiden named Rapunzel Barbie was trapped in a high tower…

A line of playline dolls released in 1998, themed around the fairytale of Rapunzel.
The Rapunzel Barbie dolls feature a gimmick where Barbie’s hair can be “let down” using her crown.
A Prince Ken doll was also released, however unfortunately an AA variant was not produced.

The following year, in 1999, different budget versions of the Rapunzel Barbie dolls were produced exclusively for sale through KB Toys.
These Rapunzel dolls have no gimmick feature, and reuse fashions and recolored jewellery from the 1998 Princess Barbie dolls.
