Bratz Era 2 Unreleased

In the second era of Bratz (2010-2014), numerous dolls were designed and produced in some form but went unreleased. This page documents details of all currently known unreleased Bratz dolls from this period.

NOTE: This list isn’t guaranteed to be conclusive and only represents what screenshots and information has been found online. Other unreleased dolls may exist but only entries with photographic or listed evidence are included here. For legal reasons only publicly released images such as stock images and official artwork will be displayed on Dollect.

The Desert Jewelz (Second Edition) Sasha doll has fully released stock imagery and is featured on box artwork for the other dolls, but was not released.

The Funk n Glow (Third Edition) line in 2012 was promoted with a commercial featuring new versions of Eitan and Thad in formal outfits. They were not featured in the line’s initial demo – instead the 2012 Boyz Cameron doll was paired with the dolls and would eventually be released in the Fall of that year.

It is unknown whether the Eitan and Thad dolls were intended for release or specifically produced for use in the commercial and other promotional material.

The Holiday (Sixth Edition) line from 2012 features an unreleased Sasha.

The outfit from this unreleased Sasha was partially adapted into Yasmin’s Holiday Glow outfit, though a boxed image of a standard Holiday Yasmin in this outfit also exists – this may have been a prototype or early sample.

While the other Neon Runway characters received dolls with two hair variants, Sasha only received one released hair variant (her standard brown hair). The unreleased purple haired variant only exists in stock images and as artwork on the Neon Runway doll packaging.

A prototype for Twisty Style Sasha was produced for 2013, though her doll would not be released. Her artwork was posted alongside the others on the Bratz website – Sasha’s artwork features her standard brown hair, while the prototype doll featured platinum blonde hair.

2013 also saw the release of new artwork featuring Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha and Jade (bottom left), in new outfits – this artwork was notably featured on the DVD cover for Bratz Go to Paris, but also on bags and apparel, stationery, the packaging on themed Bratz Blue Bunny ice cream, and a number of Visa debit card designs. This artwork may have been strictly intended for marketing the Bratz Go to Paris DVD and there is no confirmation that dolls of these designs were planned.

During the line’s 2013 Pssst… I’m Taller! campaign, a new doll (bottom right) was displayed alongside Totally Polished Cloe, Kool Catz Jade and Xpress It (Third Edition) Sasha. It is unknown which line this was a part of, or whether it was intended for release at all.

Other releases:

The following dolls and releases have been confirmed but do not have publicly released images:

2011

  • The Masquerade line featured several unreleased outfits in promotional material, namely for a female pirate, genie and alien. It is unknown if these were intended for release or if they were exclusively produced for this promotional material.

2012

  • The Totally Tattoo’d line was originally titled Biker Babez – the dolls would have come with helmets and shaggier hair, plus a scooter playset would have been released alongside the dolls.
  • The Neon Runway line was originally conceptualized as a different line named Botz. This would have included more metallic elements such as chestplates and matching pets, but was likely reworked during early production as prototypes of the Neon Runway dolls also exist.
  • The Catz line would have also included two Boyz – namely Koby and a notably whitewashed Dylan.
  • A hairplay line named Color Me Crazy with an accompanying playset was designed and in the prototype stages before being scrapped.
  • A line named Miss IndepenDance was confirmed through product listings but was scrapped – two characters confirmed for this line are Jade and Yasmin, as their in-box pictures have leaked online.
  • The Pink Winter Dream line originally included Jade and Sasha, but both were omitted from the final release.
  • The Pajama Party line was originally named Satin Sleepover and featured different designs more focused on nighties and legwarmers. Sasha was also included in this early version of the line.
  • Maribel was planned to return in the Trend It! line. Additionally, the Jade from this line originally wore what would become the Summer Party fashion pack.

2013/2014

  • Several lines from 2013 – namely Totally Polished, In the Wild and Sea Stunnerz – were all designed with the original bodies before being switched to the new taller bodies before release. Notably Bahama Beach received released variants on the original bodies in addition to the versions on the taller bodies.
  • Jade was originally designed for the Action Heroez line but her doll was scrapped before release.
  • The Fall 2013 Basic line originally would have featured Dana and Kumi according to product listings from the time.
  • A Duct Tape Fashion Sasha exists in both early prototypes and artwork on the final packaging for both 2014 releases.
  • A tall-bodied line named Winter Wonderland was designed featuring dolls in outfits inspired by 2003’s Wintertime Wonderland. It is unknown which release year this was intended for.
  • A line interchangeably named Beat Stomperz or Musik Beatz was also planned for 2014, featuring Jade, Meygan, Sasha and Yasmin. This line was displayed at a toy showcase but scrapped, likely due to Bratz going on hiatus in 2014.
  • One of the planned 2014 lines was named Garden Party, and would have featured Meygan and Yasmin. Likely scrapped due to the 2014 hiatus.
  • Prototypes for a Spy line exist and were displayed at a toy showcase.
