Nagi
Nagi (兽仔) is a 2022 introduced doll line by the Chinese company Cytoys (玩乐寻潮). They are blind box MJDs with a toddler-like appearance, often with animal themes.
The dolls are blind box packaged and feature a series of general dolls with one or two ‘hidden’ characters that have a rarer chance of appearing.
Cub Kindergarten
Cub Kindergarten is Nagi‘s first series. It was released in October 2022 as a crowd-funding project on Modian, a Chinese website similar to Kickstarter. There are seven dolls, six general and one hidden. Each comes with extra hands and sewn clothes.
Exchange Student
Exchange Student is Nagi‘s second series, released in August 2023. Like the first, this series consists of six general dolls and one hidden. However, this series also includes improved joints and introduced inset eyes to the line.
Sakura Season
Sakura Season is a standalone doll that was released in early 2024 to celebrate the Sakura bloom. Unlike the other Nagi dolls, she comes with two outfits and is not blind box packaged. Her body is the same as the Exchange student line, with improved joints and inset eyes.
Cub Study Tour Season
Cub Study Tour Season is Nagi‘s third series, released in May 2024. The series retains the inset eyes but also improves joint flexibility yet again and redesigns the arms to better conceal the elbow joints. This series also adds a second hidden doll, bringing the total number up to eight, with six general and two hidden.
Cub Study Tour Season: Frost Defense
Frost Defense is a standalone doll that was released in summer 2024 to accompany the Cub Study Tour Season Series. Unlike the other Nagi dolls, he comes with extra accessories and is not blind box packaged. His body is the same as the Cub Study Tour Season line, with improved joints and inset eyes.
Wishing Party
Wishing Party is a small line of two dolls that were released in December 2024 to celebrate Christmas. They can be bought individually and come with extra accessories. They are not blind box packaged. Their bodies are the same as the Cub Study Tour Season line, with improved joints and inset eyes.
A Happy Excursion
A Happy Excursion is Nagi‘s fourth blind box series, released in January 2025. Like the last series, there are eight dolls, six general and two hidden. Their bodies are the same as the Cub Study Tour Season line, with improved joints and inset eyes.
Mountain and River Romance
Mountain and River Romance is Nagi‘s first plush doll blind box series, released in January 2025. There are six general dolls and one hidden. They are fluffy sheep like characters with plastic faces, hands, and feet, sewn clothes, and inset eyes.
Spring College Outfits
The Spring College Outfits are Nagi‘s first pair of clothing sets. The series consists of two sets of academic-themed clothes.
Year of the Dragon Outfits
The Year of the Dragon Outfits are Nagi‘s second pair of clothing sets. The series features the first masculine outfit and consists of two sets of holiday-themed clothes. They were released in early 2024 for Chinese New Year.
