Designer Princess (2011)
Inspired by the fashion illustrations of the 1950’s and 1960’s that showed when fashion was all about glamour, The Disney Store is excited to announce an elegant new collection carefully crafted by Disney artists to capture the magic and style of the classic Disney Princesses. Although these versions of the princesses are retro-inspired, they still have a modern edge. The idea behind the Disney Princess Designer Collection was to re-imagine the princesses in a way we’ve never done before, by giving them a high fashion edge while still capturing each princess’s classically unique look.
The Designer Princess Collection was released in 2011 and included 11 dolls. They all retailed for $59.50 USD.

Designer Villains (2012)
Designed and carefully crafted to capture the essence of evil at its best dressed, the Villains Designer Collection re-imagines the stylish wickedness of classic Disney Villains.
“With the Villains, the designs I created are less of a literal translation of the original characters and more inspired by the Disney Villains. I consider my interpretation of the Disney Villains dolls in this collection, as fashion sketches come to life. I used everything from runway looks in magazines, to couture gowns on pop stars to find inspiration for each of the Villains artwork.” – Steven Thompson
The Designer Villains Collection was released in 2012 and included 6 dolls. After the smash success of the princess line the edition size was increased to 13,000 per doll and the price was also increased to $79.50 USD.
