Frozen was released in 2013, to promote the movie, Mattel released various dolls and playsets.
Anna and Elsa were originally planned to join the Disney Princess line-up, however due to the massive success of Frozen, they were given their own franchise.
Frozen 2 was released in 2019, during the time when Hasbro owned the Disney licence. When Mattel regained the Disney licence in 2023, they produced dolls based on both films.
Anna and Elsa have had 3 face sculpts each over the years.
Dolls of Kristoff, Queen Iduna and King Agnarr have also been released by Mattel.
As of July 2024, Mattel has released 29 Anna dolls and 33 Elsa Dolls.
