Introduction

The Girls of Many Lands line was a doll line released in 2002 as a companion to the mainline Historical series of American Girl dolls. They were aimed at a slightly older demographic of children and teenagers who may be aging out of playing with the 18-inch dolls, and as such were designed to be display-only. Similar to the main Historical line, they focused on individual girls’ lives at various historical periods, though they are not American and some come from earlier time periods.
The line consisted of eight dolls and was discontinued in 2005.
