Headstart began as a toy company in 2007, owned by David and Andrew Hendy. David’s 40 year background in toys saw him previously build two successful toy companies. First Kidz Biz, which sold to Solomon Lew and later Funtastic which soon became the largest toy company in Australia and the first to float on the Australian stock exchange.
Today, Headstart is the largest Australian owned toy company in terms of retail sales in Australia, according to NPD data.
Headstart has over 70 employees working out of our 4 locations in Melbourne, Hong Kong, China and Los Angeles.
