Momoko is a doll line created in 2001 by Namie Manabe as a side project for Japanese software company PetWORKs. In 2005, Sekiguchi started producing Momoko dolls in larger quantities and with an updated body. Both companies continue to produce Momoko dolls to this day.

Momoko stands approximately 27 centimeters tall and has 14 points of articulation. The earliest dolls made by PetWORKs have a body very similar to Takara Tomy‘s “Super Action Jenny” body. However, Sekiguchi developed a new body for Momoko when they started producing the doll in 2005, and both Sekiguchi and PetWORKs have used this body for all Momoko dolls made since.

In 2013, PetWORKs created a new doll called Ruruko who is Momoko’s little sister. Despite this, it is considered a separate doll line from Momoko.
