The Inner Monster doll line was released in 2014. It is a sequel to the Create A Monster line, which was active from 2011 to 2013. There were three product types – Starter Packs, Add On Packs, and a Deluxe Pack. The dolls had holes in their rib cages, where various ’emotion pieces’ could be attached. Additionally, their heads featured exposed brains that had a button to change the doll’s eyes. The face molds had indents that allowed different masks to clip onto the doll’s face.
Three Starter Packs were released, each featuring two emotions. Each set included a doll, one wig, one mask, two sets of emotion pieces, one outfit, two pairs of shoes, one head accessory, and two back accessories that clipped onto the doll’s waist. The dolls also included a brush, a saddle stand, a blank journal, and a Skullette shaped bag that opened up to store emotion pieces.
Each Starter Pack had a corresponding Add On Pack that focused on one of the two emotions. These Add On Packs each included one mask, one hard plastic hair piece, one dress, one pair of shoes, arm and leg accessories, and four new emotion pieces.
One Deluxe Pack was released, featuring three new emotions. The set included a doll. three masks, three sets of emotion pieces, and a variety of clothes, hair pieces, and accessories. Additionally, the set included included a brush, a saddle stand, a blank journal, and a Skullette shaped bag that opened up to store emotion pieces. This pack was exclusive to Walmart.
