Moxie Girlz Unreleased

Over the history of Moxie Girlz releases, a select number of dolls were displayed in stock images, showcases and portfolios but never made it to release. This page documents all currently known unreleased Moxie Girlz dolls.

NOTE: This list isn’t guaranteed to be conclusive and only represents what screenshots and information has been found online. Other unreleased dolls may exist but only entries with photographic or listed evidence are included here.
A Basic Wave 2 Sasha was likely planned for release alongside the other dolls in the wave. In 2010, Sasha was replaced by Bria and in turn the Basic Wave 2 Sasha was scrapped and replaced with a Bria wearing Basic Wave 2 Sophina's outfit. It is unknown why the Basic Wave 2 Bria reused Sophina’s outfit rather than the outfit from the scrapped Sasha.
Two Bria dolls from released lines were left unreleased: the Ready to Shine Bria from 2011 and the Straight-A Style Bria from 2012.

It is unknown why these Bria dolls were not released, though MGA historically had a trend of excluding Black dolls from case assortments in the 2000s and early 2010s – Bria dolls in general were affected by this practice, and while most of them were still released in their own case assortments, these two in particular were left unreleased entirely.
Unreleased designs for a Costume Party Sophina and a doll labelled Granola Girl were part of designer Youngsin Kwon’s online portfolio. It is unknown when these dolls would have been slated for release – the Costume Party Sophina lines up with the Masquerade Ball (2009) and Fairytale waves (2010 and 2011), while the Granola Girl doll visually lines up with the Pets line from 2010.
An unreleased Birthday Avery doll was slated for a Fall 2011 release, as displayed in designer Melissa Boock’s online portfolio. It is unknown why the doll was not released or if the ‘assortment’ included other characters.
A set of Moxie Girlz on larger, articulated bodies (Avery, Kellan, Lexa and Sophina) was displayed in an unknown showcase and displayed in designer Diana Chang’s online portfolio. The body and shoe molds very closely resemble that of BFC Ink dolls. It is unknown when these were scheduled for release or why they were not released.
