NewBoy is a Syrian company based in Dubai, established in 1999.
The company’s most notable doll brand is Fulla, often considered the Middle Eastern equivalent of Barbie. She would achieve widespread success throughout the Middle East, becoming the region’s best-selling doll and gaining acclaim for better reflecting Muslim values. The Fulla line would also expand to include an accompanying TV series, a magazine and additional generations of Fulla dolls.
NewBoy’s other properties include the Baby Habibi toy line for younger children, the FunToLearn kids electronic tablet line, and a confectionary range named SweeToon featuring products based on a wide range of licensed properties such as Strawberry Shortcake, Marvel and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in addition to their own brands like Fulla. The company has also acted as a Middle Eastern distributor for numerous toy companies such as Jakks Pacific, Moose Toys, Takara Tomy and Hasbro, giving them distribution rights to brands such as Little Live Pets, Our Generation and Furby in addition to licensed products from Disney and Illumination amongst others.
Currently, NewBoy operates offices in China, India and South Africa in addition to their headquarters in Dubai where they moved in 2015.
