Mattel officially got the license to the Disney dolls in 1992. They have made dolls of the Disney Princesses, Live action Remakes, and many Non-Princesses.

In 2016, Mattel lost the Disney Princess/Frozen licenses to Hasbro, but regained it in 2023.
