Project Mc2 is a team of super-smart and seriously cool girls who use their love of science and their spy skills as they go on missions for the secret organization, NOV8 (that’s “innovate!”). They’re real girls with real skills ready to take on anything. Watch new episodes of the Project Mc2 original series, only on Netflix! Meet Adrienne Attoms! People say girls are made from a pinch of sugar and spice, but she has a more complex recipe. Following in her abuela’s footsteps, she is a culinary chemist — science is so delicioso. She’s pretty brilliant! Now you can perform a cool S.T.E.A.M. experiment at home, just like Project Mc2 culinary chemist, Adrienne Attoms. Make your own hair mascara using household items again and again. About the experiment: Take your favourite eye shadow and crush it into a fine powder. Scientists crush things with a mortar & pestle because powders have more surface area than solids which dramatically increases their reaction rate when combined with other materials. Mix in some coconut oil (which binds the powder together) to create colourful paste. Extrude your mixture into the provided container with a piping bag (make your own piping bag by cutting the corner off a sandwich bag), then use the wand to streak your hair!

  • As seen in the Emmy nominated Netflix original series the girls are ready to rock out on their next secret spy mission. Going undercover never looked so rock and roll!
  • Fully articulated premium Adrienne Attoms doll steals the show in her multi colored faux fur coat, glittery box pleated skirt, and of course the cutest glittery platform shoes
  • Includes a fun science activity: make hair mascara with household items and included hair mascara tube and applicator wand
  • Household items not included

Wanna learn how to do Adrienne’s Hair Streak experiment? We’ve got all the details you need:

What you’ll need for this experiment:

  • The two tubes (with lids and brushes) from Adrienne’s Hair Streak set
  • Eyeshadow
  • Hair gel
  • Corn starch
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Measuring spoons

Let’s begin!

  1. Put the eye shadow into a bowl and crush it into a fine powder using the back of a spoon.
  2. Pour a 1/2 teaspoon of corn starch and a tablespoon of hair gel. Mix until it is a paste-like consistency.
  3. Remove the lid and pour the mixture into the tube using a spoon. Fill the tube half-way. Using some force, secure the lid to the bottle. Then, insert the brush.
  4. Dip and swirl the brush into the tube. Then, grasp the hair with one hand and move the brush down the hair to apply the mixture.

Important information:

  • Do not allow the mixture to come into contact with your eyes. In case of eye contact, rinse eyes thoroughly after playing.
  • Only apply to hair. Do not apply to skin.
  • Rinse hair with water to remove the mixture.
  • Make sure the lid is secured to the bottle and the brush is screwed in tightly to prevent spillage.
  • Colour transfer may occur. Keep the mixture away from fabric, furniture and other surfaces. It is recommended to use the mixture the same day it is made. Discard any remaining mixture after use.
  • To clean the tube, pour water and mild soap into the tube and shake. Repeat until there is no more of the mixture inside. Allow it to air dry before storing.
  • Rinse the brush with water and allow it to air dry thoroughly before storing.
  • Do not apply the mixture to the doll’s hair.

These instructions have been lifted near-directly from the doll’s original manual. Please take care when attempting experiments and be sure to prepare your surroundings for any possible stains or mess.
