Wanna learn how to do Ember’s Fairy Wings experiment? We’ve got all the details you need:
What you’ll need for this experiment:
- Earring mould and clips from Ember’s Fairy Wings set
- Glitter
- School glue
- Food colouring
- Confetti glitter, small flowers, or other small craft items
- Scissors
- Toothpick
Let’s begin!
- Squeeze an even layer of school glue into the entire earring mould, making sure there are no thin spots. Fill the mould about half way to the edge.
- Mix in two drops of food coloring with a toothpick if desired.
- Pour glitter or other small craft items on top of the glue.
- Wait 24-48 hours for the glue to completely dry, but DO NOT wait longer than 48 hours.
- Carefully bend the edges of the mould and gently peel out the glue.
- Cut out two wings and trim the edges.
- Loop one wing over the hook on the earring. Repeat for the other wing.
- Clip the earrings onto your ears and wear your unique designs!
Important information:
- It is recommended that you check the earring mould frequently after 24 hours to prevent breakage.
- Waiting longer than 48 hours for the glue to dry may prevent the butterfly from peeling without breaking.
- Pay close attention when using scissors to cut and trim.
- Keep food coloring away from clothing to prevent staining.
- Colour transfer may occur from food coloring onto skin.
- In case of eye contact, rinse eyes with plenty of water.
- Mixture may not be completely removed from the inside of the earring mold after use.
- Rinse the earring mold with warm water and mild dish soap. Air dry before storing.
