Born in San Francisco with family roots in Shanghai – Lily Cheng has grown up with the best of both worlds. She spent her childhood going to school in the city and during her summer breaks she would head to China to learn the ropes at her family’s textile business. That’s where she discovered her love for fashion, patterns, and design. With so much real-world experience at her family’s company, she’s confident in her talent and creative vision and doesn’t try to play it down. But she’s also incredibly generous — if you’re lucky enough to be her friend you’re bound to be one of the first to wear her designs.

Here at Rainbow High, she’s excited to create looks that roar with style and tradition. Although competitive at times, she knows that she also has a lot to learn from her super talented classmates.
