SpacePOP is a 2016-introduced multimedia franchise by Genius Brands International, Inc. The story follows five intergalactic princesses who must disguise themselves as musicians in the titular band in order to overthrow the evil Empress Geela and bring peace to the galaxy.
The story was told through a 108-episode musical web series that debuted on YouTube and was later released on DVD. The series was followed by an assortment of merchandise, including books, apparel, CDs, and toys.
As a Doll Line
The SpacePOP franchise included a line of five fashion dolls, which were produced by the American toy company Madame Alexander and sold at Toys R Us in 2017. The dolls stand 11 inches tall and have 11 points of articulation. Each doll came with a single outfit, a pet figurine, and a booklet containing a sneak peek of the SpacePOP graphic novel.
A series of 8 blind bag figures were included in the initial merchandise launch for SpacePOP. The characters include the five main princesses as well as Empress Geela and two mystery figures.
