The Dr Lisa Company
The Dr Lisa Company is an American company based in Orlando, Florida. It was formed in 2003 under the name World of EPI (Entertainment, Publishing and Inspiration) by Dr Lisa Williams. Williams founded the company with “the mission of spreading joy by providing children with dolls that inspire dreams, promote intelligence and build self-esteem.”
The first doll line created by World of EPI was Positively Perfect Dolls in 2009, followed by The Fresh Dolls in 2017. Both lines aimed to provide authentic multicultural representation, and in turn the company and Williams have been lauded for their work – Williams would be chosen as a finalist in the Toy of the Year Champion of Diversity and Inclusion category, while The Fresh Dolls spin-off The Fresh Beats would be nominated in the Doll of the Year category. World of EPI would later expand to creating licensed dolls for Disney properties – namely Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.
In September 2023, World of EPI announced its rebranding to The Dr Lisa Company.
