W.I.T.C.H. is an abbreviation for the heroines in the series, named Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin. W.I.T.C.H. is a series of dolls (each line usually containing between five (5) or six (6)) that are based off of the comic and television show of the same name. The series originated in Italy.
The series consists of five girls, Will Vandom, Irma Lair, Taranee Cook, Cornelia Hale, and Hay Lin. The girls discover that they have been chosen as the new guardians! Alongside the girls is Elyon Brown, one of their dear friends. While there are more characters in the W.I.T.C.H. universe, the dolls only expanded with Elyon, Matt, and Caleb.
Most W.I.T.C.H. dolls are made by Giochi Preziosi. There is not a lot of information about some of the lines, but this section will be updated as information is discovered.
There were five exclusive dolls that were released by the Disney Store.
Various advertisements for W.I.T.C.H. merchandise, fast food promotions, and the television show.
In the United States, McDonald's ran a promotion in 2005 with Disney that featured the main characters (along with Princess Elyon) as keychains. Each keychain came with a mini comic book that introduced the characters and the world. There were also two sets of figures released in by the Disney Store, one of the girls in their human forms and one of the girls in their guardian forms. Kinder also released various figures.
