My friends and I went to our local thrift store and I got some dolls! I got a Mirabel and Disney Snow White doll in a plastic bag. I’m not sure what specific doll of Snow White doll it was, but it had those rubber legs (no picture because I put her with my Cinderella doll in storage lol). Mirabel is my favorite Disney character and I’m excited to get her with my encanto art book . She was missing her glasses but her did have both her shoes and both earrings. Her hair has basically become an Afro but I’m too scared to do anything to it lol. If i ever find the time and motivation i might add her actual embroidery to her skirt. (Edit: looking into it, she has the hair, the articulation and the accessories of the 2023 Disney limited edition doll but she doesn’t have the embroidered clothing. I’m Wondering if somebody just replaced her clothes, but why would they do that? if anybody has suggestions, let me know).
I also got two other dolls but this one has a funny story behind it. During the first trip I noticed a blue skinned doll but didn’t think anything about it. When I got home I watched one of xcanadensis’ TikToks and noticed that same blue doll in the background. For a bit of context, I have a special interest in theme parks, and their rides, especially Disney attractions. The attractionista doll line was something I’ve loved because it fused two of my special interests. When I looked in the comments of that TikTok, I realized that it was Carrie the doll inspired by it’s a small world. I was devastated that I didn’t recognize her and left her behind. The next day, I practically begged my mom to take me back to the thrift store to see if she was still there. After nervously looking around for a bit, I found her! She didn’t have any of her clothes, but she does still have her necklace. I put her in a fitting Disneyland shirt but I do want to find or at least make her outfit, hat, And maybe even her pet. I’m so excited that I found a doll I never thought I would have without spending a ton of money. In her plastic bag, she also came with A naked Sugar Coated ginger breadhouse from Ever After High! She has one of her earrings and her headband. I loved ever after high when the show was still on Netflix was she was a great addition! She was also naked and I’ll like to find both her clothes and glasses.
Overall it was a great find! If anyone has any tips on cleaning/restyling these doll, or/and know of anywhere to find these girl’s their clothes please let me know!
