Site editors/moderators machinedean, NyxiePyxie, xCanadensis, and cleoindenile traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to introduce the website and our mission to collectors from all walks of life.
Everyone introduced themselves, along with giving a small blurb about a few things they do on the website. After introductions, the games began!
First up was Doll Trivia on Kahoot! Over 25 questions, ranging from easy to tricky, stumped the challengers in the crowd. But we had a winner after what was honestly a very close race between two challengers in particular!
The winner got to choose a doll that was up for grabs, and then it was on to the next activity: doll show and tell (This was originally planned to be a Your Doll + You cosplay contest, but only one person was dressed up as their doll)! One by one, contestants stood before the crowd, showing off their beloved collections.
The last challenge of the evening: how many doll shoes was xCanadensis able to squeeze into her Strawberry Shortcake jar?! Attendees came and examined the jar, stuffed with Barbie, What’s Her Face!, and My Scene shoes. Guesses and names were written down, but only one person came close.
With the games finished and prizes all given out, the last ten or so minutes of the panel were spent talking to fellow collectors, exchanging information, and answering any questions about the website.
