hello fellow dollect residents! ✧₊⁺
I am so happy to return to the site after a long, arduous, finals season and winter break! I can’t wait for the server move so I can get right back to making Barbie entries and banner graphics, which is something I love to do in my free time! I hope we can all join together in saying a big “thank you!!!!” towards the admin and site founder for this major upgrade <3

As I mentioned in my last blog entry all the way back in September, I attended Sherri’s Doll Show in November! It was absolutely everything I had imagined it to be, and I came out much more “tapped in” to the Barbie collector community in my area. The only thing I was slightly disappointed by was the lack of early 2000s-2010s dolls. I’ve been on the hunt for S.I.S. dolls (ifkyk), and I didn’t even find any from that *era*!!! But I think the sheer amount of vintage and mod Barbies made up for that, I LOVE a good Steffie face (they were just too expensive for me (◞‸◟ㆀ) ). I’ll have to post an in-depth haul of what I got sometime once I return back from winter break!!
Christmas this year was so holly and jolly! I hope you all had an amazing holiday as well, and were gifted the gift of ~doll~ I asked my mom for a MyScene doll for Christmas! I was the target audience for them when they came out, but unfortunately my parents thought they were too “slutty” or something, so I played with my Barbies and Disney princesses. But I’ve always wanted one so so bad, especially since I used to play all of the MyScene mini flash games when I was younger, so technically I did grow up with it. My mom picked out a core Chelsea doll for me, and she’s perfect still in-box!!! I was so happy, and now I actually feel kind of bad for wanting to unbox her ╥﹏╥
I also picked up a ILY doll for myself a couple of weeks ago, because the second wave (Disney Store line) were on sale for $17 in my local Target!! I’ve been eyeing the “Belle” doll for a while, and the sale was just too good to pass up ✧˖°. Post-Christmas, I went to an antique mall while on my winter break vacation, and I came across the most ~GLORIOUS~ toy and doll booth (MyScene at the antique store? It’s more likely than you think). I picked out a 1997 Sweetheart Barbie Auburn hair variant with all her accessories/clothes, and a 1973 Sweet 16 Barbie with a redressed 90s outfit. The 1973 doll was only $21, which is insane considering her pristine condition!! The only gag is I need to buy her actual outfit- which I think is just a dress and shoes?- which I hope is no more than $20 as well. And the 1997 doll was $11!!! Man, I love antique stores. They know how to price things. I’m excited to bring these home and present these next to my other vintage Barbies, which I’m hoping to reorganize and clean up haha. New year, new goals!
If you read this far, I wish you nothing but the best of luck and happiness in the coming year! And I appreciate you reading this silly little post I made. Feel free to send a friend request or leave a comment! I’m happy to talk dolls and the like <3
