hello fellow dollect residents! ✧₊⁺
I thought about making a blog post for a while now, and I think I finally have enough to share to make one. I hope you’re having a nice September!! I’m waiting for the millisecond it turns into October so I can put up all of my halloween decorations teehee >:)
♡ my song of the month: Crazy by Le Sserafim
♡ my favorite Youtube video of the month: AI Has No Place In The Doll Industry (Darling Dollz)
♡ my favorite release of the month: Barbie Care Bears Cutie Reveal Dolls
Since my school semester has started my doll purchases have slowed down (also because my paid internship ended), so I haven’t gotten any lately. But my most recent *proxy* purchase was the Gala Collection Pink Premiere Barbie doll. I knew in my soul that I needed her from the moment my eyes laid upon the first promo images ✧˖°. I just don’t have the membership, but my friend did! So she was nice enough to get one for me :,)
Once they came in the mail, we did an unboxing together and oh my gosh she is just as beautiful in person!! And in the unboxing, I got so caught up in carefully taking her out of the blister that I ripped the certificate of authenticity which was on the back side lmao be careful out there yall
(ㅠ﹏ㅠ)
I won’t get too much into it, but I am a Toy Design major (I’m a senior now), and I have a particular knowledge of fashion dolls and plush. And I have a special love for Barbie specifically -`♡´- And I just have to thank the current designers at Mattel right now for the current direction of Barbie. !!We have the return of the blue sparkle eyes!! The blue eyes returning from the glory of the Superstar era combined with the 2019 Odile sculpt which literally looks like a ~mermaid siren goddess~ is PERFECTION!
Anyways, my other major purchase was the Monster High x Wednesday doll. I tend to go to Target/Walmart often to look for new doll releases, and I didn’t see any of these dolls for a while. And I knew I wanted the Wednesday doll so badly, and that if she were to get stocked at my local Walmart it would probably sell out quickly. So I figured I’d just buy it from ebay- and I was able to get it for $50 and free shipping!!
Last thing I wanted to add in this, but I just got tickets for Sherri’s Doll Show in Buena Park, CA. I’m so excited it looks like such an amazing show and selection of Barbies specifically. I’ve had this doll show on my radar for a year now and I’m so happy to be able to go! Is anyone else going or have ever been to this show? I’d be curious to know.
Ok if you made it this far, thanks for reading!! I really appreciate it and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day or night, whenever you’re reading this.

wait stop why are you lowkey my twin or something LOL. i too am obsessed with le sserafim’s crazy and the odile girls. we have the same name too lol. also having a doll design major sounds absolutely amazing!!! i didn’t know there was a major for that! what was it kinda called formally?
omg TWINN <3 that's so crazy we have all of those things in common, also idk if it's your nickname in real life but my family called me "momo" when I was younger!! (separated at birth?) anyways, to answer your question: I also did not know it was a major that existed!! my friend said she was going into the "Toy Design" major and I was like wtf that's an oddly specific major,… but the more I thought about it, the more I realized it was the perfect fit for me! I think there's only 2 schools that offer the program in the US and I'm not sure about internationally. and I'd honestly recommend it to anyone who has a real passion for design, engineering, child development, products, or illustration
