I found this diva at the thrift store the other day, and was immediately convinced she was a my scene doll. But now that I’ve taken her home and got a closer look I’m not so sure… I never had a my scene doll as a kid, but from the photos it looks like they had switchable feet, like with Bratz. This doll just has a seemingly normal Barbie body, feet fully attached. She has sparkly pink lips, blue and yellow shimmery eye shadow, chestnut brown hair with subtle light brown highlights, silver hoop earrings, and there is a yellow thread coming out of her head that makes me think that she probably had some sort of accessory attached to it. Her copyright mark on her lower back says 1999 Mattel. If anyone has any theories, please lmk!

due to the side glance, i believe this a pre-my bling bling chelsea doll. not sure which one though
my scene dolls used a standard barbie body and their big feet were done using chunky shoes. the shoes had a slit in the back so they could slide over the smaller feet
ooo I did not know that, that’s actually kind of a really interesting feature.
TYSM for commenting! After further research I am pretty sure this is a variant of the 2002 first my scene release Chelsea!!! Someone on r/Dolls on reddit had a very similar one to me. It’s very cool to be in possession of a doll that’s older than I am lol.
