Have a picture of Whiskey while I write my dolly diary for 10/13/2023

1. I have two more photos to take for my fall photo challenge: “trick or treat” and “spooky movie”. I’m going to put a bunch of dolls in pajamas watching Coraline for the latter, but haven’t yet decided on the former. I kind of want to do something with the candy LOLs
2. I carved out RH Daria’s hips, so she has a bit more mobility in her hip joints and can bring her leg up a little bit higher/sit straighter. (I’ll make a blog here, if posts start going through again.) Was hoping she could bring her knees up to her chest, but I don’t think the joint has that range of motion. May noodle around some more.
3. I definitely want to downsize my collection a bit, and focus more collecting clothes, displays, props, modding tools, etc. for the dolls I already have.
3a. As part of downsizing, I’m going to do a “doll photo a day” (ish) challenge, where I try to take a picture of every doll in my collection, see if I connect with them and whether I like photographing them. Hoping it will help make it clearer which dolls I can let go of. Will try to post here and on IG.
4. Randomly was looking at the AG website in the first time in forever, and were I to get any more AG it would be Nanea or Claudie. They’re so adorable and I love their collections!
5. Smart Doll has me in a death grip — I really want one and I really don’t. Pros: Bigger size for more detailed clothes; very active community; I like the post-apocalypse/cyberpunk aesthetic; the pear body & black navy skintone. Cons: Seems…intense; price; hip and knees are not as flexible
6. I’ve also been daydreaming (again) about a BJD (again). I still can’t justify the price, but I’m loving thinking about what I might do, if money were no issue.
