I mainly collect secondhand Descendants dolls from thrift stores, flea markets, and online sellers. I've been into Descendants since the first movie came out in 2015- I am now a grown man in college who spends his adult money on children's toys. My grail dolls are Disney Store Evie, Maleficent, Cotillion Jane, Cotillion Uma, Young Ella, and Deluxe Audrey.

I consider myself a casual collector- I don't like to pay more than fifteen dollars for a secondhand doll no matter how complete or rare it is, I don't buy replacement parts for my incomplete dolls, and I exclusively collect out-of-box. I'm willing to tackle the tedious task of fixing terrible hair, repainting gloves, and scrubbing off marks. I'm in it for the fun and the nostalgia, not the value. I'm also not a completionist- I often pass up near-complete and good-condition dolls that I simply don't like the look of.
