Spectra has arrived! … and a suprise on the shelf

I braved the heatwave and headed out to Smyth’s to get my hands on G3 Spectra!

Originally I wasn’t too excited for her, she didn’t really speak to me in the stock photos and felt a bit lackluster. But purple is one of my favourite colours and I was heading in the direction of Smyth’s anyway so thought I’d go and take a look.

And I’m so glad I did! Once I actually saw her in box on the shelf I knew that I wanted her! But then to my absolute delight and suprise I saw that my Smyth’s had put Catty out a full month earlier then the website said! This caused a bit of an issue seeing as I’d only planned to get one ghoul. But I couldn’t leave either of them behind!

I love the fabric on her shrug/cape piece. It’s slightly patterned in a delicate way and the way they’ve hemmed it allows the fabric to flow out behind Spectra and hold its shape so that it looks like she’s floating which is an absolute delight.

I spent the afternoon restyling Catty’s hair but my girl deserves a truly fierce outfit so no photos of her until I’ve made something satisfactory for her (I usually don’t mind their stock clothes but Catty’s dress really isn’t doing it for me and she deserves so much better).
