When the hydration station is over $100 and also you’re really invested in 360 bubbles.
Today I decided that I’m just going to get Lagoona wet for this project, so…here we go! (Videos are from my Insta account, where I’m also @rosiewalks. I’m not sure how else to share videos here.)
I’m using a glass pillar vase for the main body of the tank, and a fish tank pump + flexible bubbler to make the bubbles.
After a few adjustments, here she is with the bubbles going!
I tied some weights (drill bits were what was handy) to her foot, so she’d stop floating out of the water. The tinfoil is just a placeholder, while I try to think of how to do the lid and base. I also want to get some submersible LED lights, and maybe some aquarium plants.
Update:
I bought some submersible fairy lights, and found a round tin in my stash to use for a lid and base, and I’m so pleased with the results.
Turns out the lights have different settings, so I played around with different modes. I love how it’s coming together so far — even though everything is still rough looking (needs a coat of black paint), you can hopefully see the vision in this video. (Warning: the lights flash quickly at the beginning of the clip)

Woah! This is so cool!
Thanks! I need to get some black spray paint and get going with the next steps 😅
