~preamble~
After watching some of xCanadensis’s videos about the FailFix dolls (hi Brooke if you’re reading this hehe), I wanted to get my hands on @Kawaii.Qtee specifically. I just thought she was so cute and unique! Luckily, after sharing an instagram story expressing my desire for the doll, a pal on there (shoutout to secretdatekoby) said they had one they were planning to giveaway anyways, and offered to send me her! I gladly accepted, and now will share some of my thoughts on the doll, as well as pictures.
~arrival~
When she arrived I was immediately struck by how soft her hair was. I’m unsure of the hair type, and still pretty new to doll collecting, but from what I know I’d guess it’s nylon. Only because it is super soft, but doesn’t have the saran waxy feeling, and it behaves differently. It also feels way too hydrated and flowing to be polypropylene. Either way, it is very soft and lovely to touch, even this messy.
The next distinctive feature was obviously her eyes- her followme eyes are so fun for dynamic pictures like this, and I love the color.
~hairstyling time~
After her wash & condition, I decided I wanted to pull some more hair forward for her bangs, especially on the right side (our left) of her face, as their initial shape looked pretty goofy.
I soaked her new bangs in hot water (wasn’t sure what temp was safe since I didn’t know her hair fiber, so I didn’t go too hot), cut them, and wrapped them in saran wrap to hold them in place while she dried.
To get her bangs to lay flatter I will definitely need to go back in with hotter water, but for now I used some pomeade to somewhat hold them down as a temporary fix.
I also managed to give her a middle part back, and of course had to put her in some cute pigtails.
After sitting overnight, her bangs appeared to settle down a bit, and I’m really happy with how she looks now! I also put her in G3 Creepover Draculaura’s robe.

Personally I am just so grateful to have been gifted this doll!! I love her so much and have been taking her around the house with me, she is so pretty and wonderful.
She is so pretty!! I don’t know much about Failfix, but you definitely made me want to learn more about them! Btw the way her bangs lays kinda made me think it could be treated polypropylene(?) Anyways, she looks gorgeous congrats ??

also, i never considered it might be treated poly! ? i have to say if it is i’d be shocked it could be so soft, and it isn’t stiff like my Cleo’s poly. but i know there are different grades so i guess it’s possible!

The FailFix girlies have such adorable faces. She’s definately my favourite from the line, although the preppy and glam ones (idk their names off the top of my head) are pretty too. Such a shame they were not in stores where I live.

she looks sooooo cute !!! i had taken failfix down from my list but that sweet face ? might have me sold. you definitely made her cuter with the hair styling though, great eye! the pigtails made her 10x more adorable ? 10/10 ! i think her hair type is confirmed in some reviews? i gotta double check

i don’t know much about failfix but my goodness, she’s so cute!! you did an amazing job with her hair, too!!! curled twintails are peak design tbh
