My Favorite G3 Monster High Dolls

Hey y’all! So, the third generation of Monster High has been out for 1 year now, and I thought it would be fun to make a list of my favorite dolls from the line. This list isn’t really in any particular order, some I love more than others, but this isn’t a traditional “top favorites” list. (I limited myself to one doll of each character picked, if not this list would just be a Cleo de Nile fest)

Coffin Break Frankie Stein

I remember when I first saw this Frankie I was like “There’s no way this is an actual doll Mattel released.”, low and behold it was. I’m so happy they did. This Frankie is unreal, I love their expression, their asymmetrical boots, their tie, just their everything!

Skulltimate Secrets Series 2 Fear Idescent Lagoona Blue

Okay, so this one is sort of here on a technicality. I love her base doll, like truly adore her face she’s stunning, but her clothing pieces are pretty meh to me.  Don’t get me wrong, I definitely like certain parts of her outfit (her shoes for example), but what really makes me love her is her gorgeous face.

Ghoul Spirit Draculaura

I will fully admit that I don’t have that many Draculaura dolls, yet. However, out of the ones I do have she’s my favorite. I love the high ponytail that lets you see her cute pointy ears. I also really like her fearleading uniform with the little drips of ooze, it’s really cute to me. Also, I’m super big on doll accessories and the fact that her adorable tennis shoes have painted details make me so happy!

Day Out Clawdeen Wolf

This Clawdeen is so cute! I appreciate the variety of the lunar aesthetic they’ve assigned her this generation. Like, I feel like other Clawdeen’s have this problem of just slapping some crescent moons on something of hers and calling it a day. The implementation of the constellations I thought was a really good and novel idea. I also love the choice of purple they picked for her, I think it’s a shade we’ve ever seen on her before. Also, her boots are superb!

Signature Abbey Bominable

From the moment I first laid eyes on this doll, I knew she’d be an all-time favorite! This doll is just pure perfection to me. I love all the little details that went into making her, like her nose being purple because she’s cold is amazing. And her little horns are just so cute. I also really love her body sculpt, I’m glad that they mad her taller than everyone else! Not to mention her stunningly gorgeous face with her adorable underbite.

Skulltimate Secrets Series 2 Fear Idescent Cleo de Nile

This is probably one of my favorite dolls in my entire collection, she’s just so beautiful. She reminds me of an old Hollywood starlet with her golden headwrap. She’s literally so gorgeous, not to mention she comes with some pretty bomb accessories (my favorite is her eye purse). I love all her outfit pieces and her shoes sculpts are incredible. Overall I think she’s cemented herself as an all time favorite!

I hope you enjoyed my favorites from the first year of G3 list, I tried limiting myself to one doll of every character picked, if not this would’ve just been a list of Cleo de Nile dolls. I can’t wait to see what else G3 brings to the table in the next year!
