The before and after of my first restyle!
I think she turned out pretty well!
I bought her in a lot, the previous owner said they were all in excellent condition and the images were quite poor quality but from what i could see all the dolls seemed to be fine. I asked the seller just a few questions about the condition of the dolls, they said they were near perfect, just 1 of the 7 dolls had missing hands. It seemed like a pretty good deal either way so i was fine with that.
I travelled 2 hours to collect them the seller didn’t give me any chance to check them out first just took the money and handed me the bag of dolls, i had a quick check in the car although it was super dark i could barely see. Once i got home i had a proper look at them all and realised 4 out of the 7 was missing their hands, all of them had cut hair, some were stained and most of the clothes were chopped up. I was pretty upset but i gave them a clean and shoved them to the back of my shelves. About a month later i decided to fix them up as best as i could and then donate them. While doing this i decided to try out a boil wash, since they were already in pretty poor condition i wasn’t too worried about worsening it. It was my first time doing a boil wash so in my head all the hair was going to melt off hahaha. It turned out really well on Bella so i gave her a cute hairstyle and totally fell in love with her. Spent some time finding a cute little outfit for her and now she sits proudly in my collection!
As for the other dolls.. they were in way worse condition than the Bella. A few of them i managed to fix enough for them to be a part of my collection. Some are now just test subjects…. ? I might need some help or advice with them haha
Damn….she looks really FANCY now! I love this restyle ?
sorry to hear about the dolls in poor condition :/ i think you did a great job with bella though, she looks so elegant!
your restyle is too cute! bella suits princess-y looks so well. condolences about the damaged dolls in the lot. i’d love to see what you come up for them, though! restorations are always satisfying to see ?
