I recently received my Usaggie doll that I purchased from Japan using a proxy. These dolls are manufactured by Petworks (aka the former producer of the Momoko dolls). This is currently my only one, but they are so cute!
I never see other collectors mention them when talking about animal fashion dolls. Well, these are fashion dolls, but they more often then not come without any clothing. This is mainly because a big appeal on these dolls is that you can make your own clothes for them. They sometimes even come with some clothing patterns!
I am not good at sewing, so I have mine in some OMG doll clothes at the moment.
a decent amount of OMG clothes can fit them, but their torsos are longer, and they are not as curvy. So a lot of the pants probably will not fit the best.
I should also mention. If you ever decide to get one of these dolls. Be cautious of putting these dolls in darker colors clothes for significant periods of time. These dolls are made of vinyl, and are somewhat notorious for being very easily stained.
I would definitely be open to getting some more of these dolls if I found them for a decent price. I really love animal and anime styled dolls. And I Also have a soft spot for rabbits. Since I have a few pet bunnies.
I mainly made this post to share them with others who may also enjoy these under appreciated dolls.
Thanks for reading!
Omg thank you for posting this!! I’ve been shopping for WonderFrog and keep finding these in my searches…
You are very welcome! I actually discovered the WonderFrog dolls through searching for an Usaggie. They are definitely something I would like to eventually get someday as well.
I wish you the best of luck on finding the perfect WonderFrog!
I love Usaggies!! I got my first one a few months ago and have been learning how to make outfits for her. Yours is so precious!
I saw your Instagram on your profile, and your Usaggie is absolutely adorable!
I can’t wait to see what other outfits you make.
Usaggie is so cute! I’ve almost bought one a few times and I know one of these days I will. By the way, Petworks still makes Momoko dolls! Both they and Sekiguchi do.
They are very adorable. I would definitely recommend them if you see one you really like. Also, thank you for the information on the Momoko’s. I wasn’t aware that both still manufactured them.
